IELTS Material Writing – Basically, there are two types of IELTS writing test, they are academic and general. Both of the types come with different characteristics. You can find the IELTS material writing in the IELTS material samples you will easily get from the internet. The examples provided will help you to prepare the test in more effective ways.

IELTS Material Writing – Academic and General

IELTS Writing – Academic
In this session, all of the participants should be able to create two different pieces of writing. This should be completed within a relatively short period of time (about 60 minutes).
• IELTS Writing Task 1
In this first part of the writing session, there will be a task given. It is based on some information and will be provided in a diagrammatic or graphic form. The participants should produce a descriptive report of 150 words at minimum based on the information presented. It should be completed in 20 minutes.
• IELTS Writing Task 2
In this second part, the participants should be able to show ability in creating logic and clear argument based on a particular topic. The IELTS material writing in this session should be written in at least 250 words and completed in 40 minutes.

IELTS Writing – General
This session also needs to be completed within 60 minutes. There will be no special knowledge needed in the test since the questions provided are based on general interest.
• IELTS Writing Task 1
In this first part of the writing test, the participants should produce a letter which can be in the form of formal or semi-formal. It should be written in response to the situation presented. The length of the task should be at least 150 words.
• IELTS Writing Task 2
In this part of the writing test, the participants should discuss a specific topic. It is as the response to a statement that provides a certain issue, argument, or point of view. This IELTS material writing should be at least 250 words in length.
